Michael Jackson statues appeared in the landmarks around the world to promote his album

In June 1995, a giant statue of Michael Jackson presented a surreal scene in the heart of London when it was put on the outsidor in the Thames.

This was Pop Colossus 32 feet (10 meters) just one of the ten who appeared all over the world to promote the history of Superstar album: past, present and future, Book I.

Then Jackson’s glass fiber continued on his global tour.

Thirty years later – and 16 years after his death – the pop king continues to attract controversy, but some statues are still standing in the unexpected angles of the world.

How did the pop king become fiberglass

The statues were collected and drawn in Elstree Studios, where there was enough space to stand

Jackson’s dual album was a mixture of his greatest songs along with 15 new tracks including Earth Song, which will spend six weeks at the top of the UK scheme.

In America, the sculptor Diana and Al -Kasak consulted with a pop star to create a clay statue that was numbers navigator for the album cover.

The artist Stephen Bale, who is based in Hertzfsheire, asked his headquarters, and who built groups of global production of the Opera Vitoms, by a Sony employee named Ruby Williams (not that) to make 10 huge statues based on the cover of this album.

The first statue appeared on the Thames River in London in June 1995

He appointed the sculptor Derek Hurath to formulate the statue in the sections of the polystyrene, which was used by Mr. Bale to make molds and fiberglass molds.

Everything was collected in the workshop Chris Les Clark in the Estree studios in Herfordshire, where they were drawn to look like a stone.

The team worked without reaching the initial model of the lady and essak, which led to a little different.

“The creation of 10 statues in four months was completely the challenge, but thanks to Derek, Chris Les and the rest of the workshop team at that time, we have become the effective factory of Michael Jackson, Melchic!”

The fate of some statues is unconfirmed, and may be closed in storage or destroy. But others remained exposed to some unbearable sites.

McDonald’s in the Netherlands

One of the statue stood for decades in McDonald’s, but was lowered by a 2019 documentary film

For many years, the king of the Pop Monument wandered in a parking lot in McDonald’s in the village of Best in the Netherlands.

The owner of the restaurant, Peter Van Gilder, bought the statue from Sony at a charity ceremony in 1996 for the Ronald McDonald Fund for Children.

He says: “The restaurant has just opened and has not yet had the big yellow,” he says. “My intention was to put it as a leader to look.”

Jackson fans began to flow into the place, take pictures and play his music. The crowd became so repeated that Peter had to the fence from the statue to prevent people from climbing it.

Every year on Jackson’s birthday, and on the day he died, he became a shrine, as fans gather to play music, hang pictures and leave flowers.

Peter Van Gilder wants to donate the statue to the fans club

Things changed in 2019 after HBO left the documentary Neverland movie to settle new allegations of sexual assault on children against Jackson.

“In the Netherlands there was no strong reaction and my intention was just leaving the statue there,” Peter explained.

But he said that the pressure from the headquarters of the American fast food chain led to its removal and storage in a “secret site”.

McDonald’s BBC told: “In 2019, in the aftermath of the documentary, it was decided to remove the statue,” McDonald’s BBC told.

“Our hair and feel that it is important for all guests to feel comfortable when visiting one of our restaurants.”

Peter hopes to donate the statue to the fans club, but because of its size, the construction permit is required. “Many have approached me, but no one has been able to obtain a permit,” he says.

“The years have passed since his death and noticed that interest in the statue is decreasing … So the statue of Michael Jackson lies under the hemp fabric in a slim shed.”

Night club in Austria

The courtyard of an abandoned club in a small town is 18 miles (30 km) west of Vienna is not the place where you expect to find a tall doll for the pop king.

The owner Franz Joseph Zika won the statue in 1998 at a charitable auction for radio in helping the Red Cross, and spent 150,000 Austrians (9,300 pounds).

He remembers: “The big problem was when I went home and I had to tell my uncle, who was the head of the family, and said:” You are crazy! “

Perhaps the child’s visitors at Godwino Boumangart were surprised by finding Michael Jackson in the smoking area, but Franz saw it as a great way to promote his club.

“There were also many bars next to the statue, so there was a party about Jackson,” he says.

Franz Joseph Zika now wants to sell his statue

Last year, the club was forced to close after building a new residential building nearby.

Now Franz wants to find someone to open a small café or a pizza in the place, but he needs to get rid of the pop stalemate first.

He said, “I was trying to sell it for two years. I will be happy if I got 25,000 euros (21,000 pounds) for that.

“I had some attention from Sweden and others in Hungary, but the problem is that people do not have enough money.”

What if he could not find a buyer? “We don’t know. Maybe I will send it to Mars. Elon will do this for me!” He laughs.

This pop king used to get an annual picnic, but he was not seen for a few years

For more than 50 years, an annual exhibition event called Luna Park was conducted in Lausanne, Switzerland.

It is among these vibrant lights and bright colored horseback riding can be found another Jackson statue.

I have given a slight renewal, with the addition of the golden paint to its military uniform.

BBC organizers told him in 2008 from a man who bought it from Sony years ago.

The statue has not been offered for a few years, but they do not say the reason – however they confirm that it is not for sale.

A coating statue has been monitored in the entertainment park in Johannesburg now defeated

When Jackson brought his historic tour to South Africa, he had one of the ten statues with him.

Santaama Maineland, which was opened in Johannesburg in the 1970s to display the country in a miniature, is now abandoned.

Attractive factors have been removed and the miniature train is no longer working, but still is a good MJ Monolith, visible in Google Earth Satellite.

Blogger Heather Masson from 2summers.net visited the park in 2013.

She remembers: “It was strange to see a giant giant statue of Michael Jackson in the middle of Maineland, where the general issue is that things be smaller than life, not greater than life.

“But I am sure I can! The MJ’s statue was the best image in the garden.”

The statue was restored in 2019, but now for sale

A new layer of paint and a new pair of sunglasses did not make this fiberglass number unknown.

In June 2019, Europark Idroscalo Milano revealed a “restored” statue after Mob-Flash occurred under the title Jackson.

“This statue is devoted to all of you, who continue to love it over the years,” a broadcaster told The Gathered Crowd.

The dramatic examination came a few months after the documentary Neverland.

A Park BBC spokesman tells that the statue was purchased at the end of the tour, but it has been abandoned for many years before it ended in the garden.

They said that Titan had covered his face for a while after allegations of child abuse because the owners of the parks at that time “do not want to show that MJ welcomed the children in the garden, so it turned into a robot.”

Despite the work to restore the statue and re -draw it, the park owners have now developed the statue that has been renovated for sale.
