president Donald Trump He’s back in the Oval Office for a full year as of Tuesday — the administration delivering a victory he’s delivered on every major campaign pledge of the past 12 months.

“President Trump has accomplished more in one year than many presidents have accomplished in eight. The President has delivered on all of his key campaign promises — securing the border, stemming Biden’s inflation crisis, signing the largest middle-class tax cuts in history, ending the diversity, equity, and inclusion nonsense, and restoring American power on the world stage,” White House Press Secretary said. Carolyn Leavitt He told Fox News Digital.

She added: “Under President Trump’s leadership, America is safer, stronger and more prosperous than ever before, and the best is yet to come.”

Trump has signed more than 225 executive orders — exceeding the total of 220 executive orders he signed during the first four years of his presidency in his first administration — that have furthered his agenda that extends from suppression Immigration To clean up the crime cities of the United States in order to “unleash” American energy by cutting red tape.

Immigration was one of Trump’s most important campaign platforms, as he pledged to close the border and deport illegal immigrants who have flooded the country under the Biden administration, causing a migration crisis that will last until 2025.

Now, Customs and Border Protection has reported record results, including reporting zero parolees in December 2025, compared to 7,041 released along the southwest border in December 2024 under the Biden administration.

Total encounters nationwide from October 2025 to December 2025 fell to 91,603, the lowest level ever recorded at the start of the fiscal year and 25% lower than the previous record low set in 2012, according to Customs and Border Protection, with Homeland Security Chief Kristi Noem celebrating the data as evidence that Trump has the “most secure” border in US history.

“From now on, our country will once again prosper and be respected around the world,” Trump declared a year ago during his inaugural address. He added, “We will be the envy of every country, and we will no longer allow ourselves to be exploited. During every day of the Trump administration, I will simply put America first.”

He added: “Our sovereignty will be restored. Our security will be restored. The scales of justice will be restored.”

Since his return to office, Trump has declared the United States to be the “hottest country” in the world after having exhausted its strength on the world stage under the Biden administration. He referred to his Gulf trip in May 2025 as evidence of America’s dominance in the world, when The white house He touted a $600 billion Saudi investment commitment, a $1.2 trillion “economic exchange” with Qatar, and $200 billion in new trade deals with the United Arab Emirates.

Trump also cited new trade agreements as additional evidence — including a July 30, 2025 agreement with South Korea that reduced tariffs to 15% in exchange for $350 billion in investment commitments and $100 billion in U.S. energy purchases.

The economy was one of voters’ top concerns during the 2024 election cycle, as Trump pledged to reduce inflation under Biden and usher in an economy similar to his first administration.

Trump has paved the way for an American comeback after Biden’s dismal economy

The Biden administration has seen the highest inflation rate that has rocked the country in 40 years, and interest rates on 30-year mortgages have risen to nearly 8%, up from less than 3%, and the largest interest rate hikes in decades.

Under Trump, inflation has fallen to 2.7% as of December 2025, the 30-year mortgage rate has fallen to about 6.06%, and the Fed has cut interest rates to a target range of 3.50% to 3.75%, with its team citing purchases of mortgage bonds as a tool to lower borrowing costs.

However, concerns about affordability and cost of living dog the administration as Democrats lean into rhetoric supporting their policies to lower housing and food costs at the ballot box, which proved successful when Democrats swept the three major elections held during the November 2025 off-year election.

Energy and trade policies have also been squarely at the forefront of Trump’s overall efforts to boost the American economy.

Trump announced sweeping tariffs on foreign countries under the International Emergency Economic Powers Act, which he said would bring parity with US trade policies and bring billions of dollars into the US economy, while at the same time serving as key to Trump’s vision of a “Gilded Age” for voters.

The tariff issue is now in limbo as the Supreme Court considers a challenge to Trump’s tariff authority — a case he says is crucial to maintaining American influence in trade talks and protecting American industry.

On the energy front, gas prices fell to a national average of $2.67 in January – compared to about $3.08 during January 2025 – as the administration celebrated that Trump had “unleashed” American energy.

Since returning to office, Trump has relied on executive authority to ramp up domestic energy production, including signing the “Unleashing American Energy” order cutting red tape and allowing speeding up of oil and gas projects. The administration also moved to restart and accelerate reviews of LNG export approvals, reversing the Biden-era pause and making U.S. LNG exports a key component of its energy strategy.

In military terms, Trump put forward the US vision of “peace through strength.” Trump has framed this approach around deterrence — claiming that a distinctly stronger US military, a tougher stance toward adversaries, and clearer red lines reduces the potential for conflict. He cited increased defense investment, pressure on NATO allies to shoulder more of their security costs, and a willingness to use force quickly when American interests are threatened as key pillars of that strategy.

The president and his administration signaled this mission after the June strikes on Iran to end the country’s nuclear program, and after the successful capture of Venezuelan dictator Nicolas Maduro in January.

“We are putting America first and making America great again,” Trump said in an address to the nation in December. “Put simple. We are making America great again.” “Inflation has stopped, wages are up. Prices are down. Our nation is strong. America is respected and our country is back stronger than ever. We are poised for an economic boom the likes of which the world has never seen before.”
