New Epstein documents show exchanges about Trump and Clinton campaigns

Hours after the White House accused Democrats in Congress of selectively leaking information Jeffrey Epstein Emails On Wednesday, Republicans on the House Oversight Committee released tens of thousands of additional pages of documents, including emails between the late sex trafficker and prominent reporters.
Many of the emails included exchanges between Epstein and magazine writer-turned-biographer Michael Wolff.
Wolff repeatedly reached out to Epstein, in some cases discussing Epstein’s public image and apparently encouraging him to attack Trump as a way to repair it.
“The New York Times contacted me about you and Trump,” Wolff wrote to Epstein in February 2016, according to the documents. “also, Hillary campaign Dig deep. Again, you have to think ahead.”

A month later, they discussed strategy ahead of the release of James Patterson’s “Filthy Rich” — a true crime book about Epstein, who was the author’s Palm Beach neighbor. “Becoming an anti-Trump voice gives you a certain political cover that you certainly don’t have now,” he suggested to Epstein.
Wolff, who has a history of publicly mocking Trump, also criticized the best-selling crime novelist.

“Patterson can be counted on to produce a best-selling book, and although he is not viewed as a serious writer, he is sure to empty a lot of tabloid copy,” the emails continue. “Because this will be related to the elections, The Trump-Clinton angle It will increase your attention 10-fold, in fact, perhaps, a hundred-fold. “Maybe more than anything I’ve ever encountered before.”

When Epstein asked him what he had to say about his relationship with Trump, Wolff appeared to say, “Let him hang himself.”
“If he says he wasn’t on the plane or home, that gives you valuable PR and political currency,” another email said. “You can hang him in a way that is likely to generate a positive benefit for you, or, if he really looks like he can win, you can bail him out, generating a debt. Of course, it’s possible, when asked, to say Jeffrey is a great guy and he got a raw deal and is a victim of political correctness, which is something that should be banned in the Trump regime.”

At another point, Wolff asked to introduce two people, Tom Barrack, a businessman and chairman of Trump’s first inaugural committee, and Kathy Rumler, a former federal prosecutor, while he was researching his book about Trump’s first 100 days in office. He said he needed “an informal perspective on White House actions.”
He also asked whether the former president Bill Clinton He will maintain that he never went to Epstein’s private island in the US Virgin Islands, Little St. John.
Clinton, Epstein’s longtime companion and associate, has publicly denied going there Ghislaine Maxwell He also denied seeing him there.
The two planned to meet in May 2019, months before Epstein died in a federal prison cell while awaiting trial.

Some of the new documents included a short video of a dog and what appear to be chew toys modeled after Trump and his 2016 presidential rival Hillary Clinton. Others appear to be slides from a consultant who was looking to raise positive search engine results about Epstein after his child trafficking conviction.

“I want you to realize that that dog that did not bark is Trump,” Epstein wrote in a letter dated April 2, 2011.[VICTIM] I spent hours with him at my house…and he never mentioned his name. Police chief. etc., I’m at 75%.”
The name of the document released has been redacted and replaced with the word “Victim” in capital letters. Officials later revealed that the victim was one of Epstein’s most prominent accusers Virginia GiuffreWho died by suicide earlier this year.

Giuffre was the most vocal victim of Epstein but did not accuse Trump of any wrongdoing. She previously worked at Mar-a-Lago, where Epstein allegedly robbed her before he and Maxwell trafficked her for years.
“The unnamed victim referenced in these emails is the late Virginia Giuffre, who has repeatedly said that President Trump was not involved in any wrongdoing whatsoever and ‘could not have been friendlier to her’ in their limited interactions,” the White House press secretary said. Caroline Levitt He told reporters Wednesday. “The fact remains that President Trump kicked Jeffrey Epstein out of his club decades ago because he was intimidating his female employees, including Giuffre.”
Trump himself weighed in on Truth Social, accusing it Democrats To try to draw attention away from their role in the standoff over the government shutdown.

“Democrats have cost our country $1.5 trillion with their recent antics of viciously shutting down our country, while at the same time putting so many at risk — and they must pay a fair price,” he wrote. “There should be no bias toward Epstein or anything else, and any Republicans involved should focus solely on opening up our country, and repairing the enormous damage Democrats have done!”
Epstein got a good deal In 2008 on charges of child sex crimes but was arrested again in 2019 on more serious trafficking charges. He died before the case went to trial. Maxwell was convicted of soliciting and procuring girls and young women for himself, but he has appealed the conviction and continues to claim her innocence.
