After decades of working in the entertainment industry, Michelle Pfeiffer She is starring in her second Christmas movie.

During an interview with Fox News Digital about her latest holiday movie, “Oh. What. Fun,” Pfeiffer said she was told that “Batman Returns” — in which she plays Catwoman — was actually the first Christmas movie she appeared in.

“Well, a lot of people have pointed out that Batman Returns is actually a holiday movie, which never occurred to me, but okay. So maybe this is my second movie, I don’t know. But I didn’t actually expect it to be a holiday, Christmas movie,” Pfeiffer said.

Pfeiffer stars alongside Felicity Jones in the film, which premiered on December 3. The film stars Claire Clastre (Pfeiffer), the glue that holds her chaotic but lovable family together every holiday season.

Michelle Pfeiffer says becoming a grandmother made her fall in love with acting again

Pfeiffer’s career in Hollywood began in the late 1970s, shortly after she won the 1978 Miss Orange County pageant, which helped her land an agent and early television roles. Pfeiffer competed in the Miss California pageant, where she was awarded the title of Miss Photogenic.

In 2021, the actress took To Instagram To share clips of her competing in the competition.

“Hey, we all have to start somewhere 🤣 👑 #TBT,” Pfeiffer captioned the post.

Before becoming a major actress, Pfeiffer worked at Vons. During his last appearance on“The Drew Barrymore Show” Pfeiffer said she was working as a checker at the grocery store. The actress said she wasn’t very good, but she was “lucky” to have gotten the job.

Barrymore asked Pfeiffer if she constantly gets hit on, which Pfeiffer quickly shut down.

“Oh no,” Pfeiffer recalled. “I remember one woman… I used to work down the street from Leisure World, so I used to get a lot of old people there and I remember a woman coming and going: ‘Oh honey, you’re so nice.’ How do you have such a round face and such a small body?

She made her film debut in 1980 with The Hollywood Knights, but her real breakthrough followed soon after with Grease 2 in 1982 and Scarface the following year. In addition to being one of the biggest sex symbols of the ’80s and ’90s, the “Witches of Eastwick” star received critical acclaim and numerous accolades for her performance.

The ‘GREASE 2’ star explains why Michelle Pfeiffer never seduced him on set

Pfeiffer was nominated for an Academy Award for Best Supporting Actress for her role in the 1988 romantic film Dangerous Liaisons. She received an Academy Award nomination for Best Actress the following year for her performance in the 1989 musical comedy The Fabulous Baker Boys, for which she received a Golden Globe Award.

In 1990, Pfeiffer and business partner Kate Ginzburg founded Via Rosa Productions, the production company behind some of Pfeiffer’s starring roles, including “Dangerous Minds,” “One Fine Day,” “The Deep End of the Ocean,” “A Thousand Acres,” and “Love Field,” the latter of which earned her a third-place finish. Academy Award nomination.

By the end of the 1990s, Pfeiffer was one of the highest-paid actresses in Hollywood. However, the former beauty pageant queen began to take a hiatus from acting in the 2000s, although she continues to take on occasional roles. In 2003, Pfeiffer and Ginzburg dissolved Via Rosa Productions.

Pfeiffer previously explained that she chose to retire from the entertainment industry, so she could focus on her family. Pfeiffer married television producer and writer David E. Kelley in 1993 and adopted his daughter, Claudia Rose, the same year. In 1994, the couple welcomed their son, John Henry Kelly II.

In 2012, Pfeiffer appeared in three films, including: “Dark Shadows” “People Like Us” and “Family” before taking a four-year break from acting.

However, Pfeiffer launched a full-scale career resurgence in 2017, starring in four consecutive projects. She returned to the screen with the drama Where Is Kyra, which she followed with roles in Kenneth Branagh’s adaptation of Agatha Christie’s classic 1934 novel, Murder on the Orient Express, and in Darren Aronofsky “Mother!” That year, she received a Primetime Emmy Award nomination for her role in the HBO television biopic “Wizard of Lies.”

Pfeiffer spoke about the reason for her absence from the screen and the revival of her career in an interview with Aronofsky for Interview magazine.

“The first thing that comes to my mind is that I’m empty now,” she said in 2017. “I never lost my love for acting. I really feel at home while filming. I’m a more balanced person, honestly, when I’m working.”

She went on to describe herself as having become “incurable” due to prioritizing her children’s schedules when it came to taking on roles.

“I was very careful about where I filmed, how long I was away, and whether or not it fit the kids’ schedule,” Pfeiffer said. “And I became so picky that I became unacceptable. And then… I don’t know, time passed. And now, you know, when the student is ready, the teacher appears.”

She continued: “I’m more open-minded now, because of my frame of mind, because I really want to work now, because I can. And in the last few years, I’ve had some really interesting opportunities.”

During Pfeiffer’s interview with Fox News Digital, she admitted that she plans to take most of 2026 off to focus on being a grandmother.

“Well, I mean, look, I feel very fortunate for the opportunities I’ve been given and I love the work. I’ve loved working with great cast members on all three things I’ve done recently. Great directors, great material. However, I didn’t know my daughter was planning to get pregnant, which she did successfully,” Pfeiffer said.

“And I’m working a lot here. So I think I’ll probably have most of next year off, which I’m really looking forward to. Look, it’s an embarrassment of riches, honestly. It’s like, ‘Woah.'” “I just really want my choices and the way I spend my time — whatever time I have left — to be spent meaningfully is what I’m focused on,” Pfeiffer said.

The star’s latest acting gig will be at Taylor Sheridan’s “Madison.” The spin-off of ‘Yellowstone’ is said to be set to be released next year. The cast is set to include Pfeiffer, Patrick J. Adams, Ellie Chapman, Beau Garrett, and Amiya Miller.
