Kelsey Grammer thought about what he wished he had understood as a young father in the 1980s next Become a father again At 70.

“I thought: ‘Wow, this is a real challenge,'” Grammer continued. And I thought, “How am I going to get through this?” But I did it, you know, and I did it. We were very close when she was a little girl. “You know, I don’t see her much anymore.”

“She is a wonderful child,” he added. “But yeah, you know what your life is, you know, it goes in different circles, and it starts expanding from there. And every once in a while, if we get a chance to get back together, that would be really cool.”

The actor also has daughter Greer, 33, with ex Barry Buckner, as well as daughter Mason, 24, and son Judd Gordon, 21, with ex-wife Camille Grammer. Grammer married flight attendant Kate Walsh in 2011. Along with Christopher, Grammer and the British national are parents to daughter Faith, 13, and sons Gabrielle, 11, and Auden, 9.

While speaking with Fox News Digital, Grammer shed some light on the relationships he shares with each of his children and how they are different.

“I think they all had their own sense of what their father was like,” he said. “I know that my older children’s understanding of who I am comes through their mothers’ lens. Well, I’ve disappointed their mothers a little.”

“So I suppose there’s a little bit of that in there,” Grammer continued. “But I’ve done my best to maintain or redefine the relationship with each of my children, some with varying degrees of success. You know, it’s a mixed bag.”

He added: “The door is still not closed.” “So, there are always new ways to define what they will be now. And I love them beyond words. I love them beyond words. And I hope that what ultimately holds the day for all of us is that there will be this connection that represents our family.”

Grammer announced the birth of his youngest child during the October 27 episode of the show Danielle Fishelthe “Pod Meets World” podcast by Will Friedel and Rider Strong. The following month, Grammer praised Christopher’s welcome, telling People magazine that the newborn’s addition to the family was “wonderful and wonderful.”

“The family is ecstatic,” Grammer said. “We’re all having a really good time. It’s really beautiful.”

He added: “We are closer than ever as a family, and I am proud of that.”

In Grammer’s latest film, “Turbulence,” he plays a hot air balloon operator named Harry. The film’s official plot synopsis reads: “Zach and Amy’s romantic getaway aboard a hot air balloon takes a terrifying turn when they are kidnapped by a sinister third passenger with a connection to Zack’s past. When the secret of their secret relationship is revealed, their incredible journey becomes a brutal mental chess match and a deadly battle in the sky.”

“Turbulence” stars Hera Hilmar, Jeremy Irvine and Olga Kurylenko.

While speaking with Fox News Digital, Grammer explained what attracted him to the role.

“My initial reaction was I guess I thought I could do it,” he said. “That’s what I usually do. Have you ever done that before? Well, not exactly. I mean, oddly enough, it’s kind of like Captain Tom Dodge in Down Periscope.” [Grammer’s 1996 comedy]. “Because he’s basically a guy who runs a boat.”

“He knows how to sail, he understands the wind, he understands the relationship between the environment and where he is in his ship,” Grammer continued. “He’s a good leader. So, I think, yeah, I’ve done it before, but things don’t go the way he hopes they’ll go that day, which is really interesting. And he’s a great character, friendly and approachable, and you feel safe around him. And that’s something I haven’t played a lot of. So it was fun to do.”

Grammer noted that filming the film was physically challenging because he had injured his foot at the time, so it was important for him to “stay in good shape.”

“I had a cast on my foot when I shot the thing,” he said. “I had been limping for a few months by then. It was tough. But I knew they were shooting above the waist most of the time, so I said, ‘You’ve just got to keep your feet out of it.’ At one point, I hoisted myself up the side of the basket, and they weren’t shooting the reps. It was fine. I was fit enough to climb up there, and it was all good.”

Grammer also thought about what he wanted audiences to take away from watching “Turbulence.”

“We had a good time,” he told Fox News Digital. “And in the end, you know, something good lasts. There’s a little tip of the magic wand on someone that says, ‘Yes, you should be here.’ You deserve to be here. And I did it.”

“Turbulence” will be released in theaters and digital platforms on December 12.
