The show has already become a platform for potential 2028 presidential candidates such as California Gov. Gavin Newsom, Maryland Gov. Wes Moore, Illinois Gov. J.B. Pritzker, and Kentucky Gov. Andy Beshear.
Other prominent Democrats who appeared with Welch included New York Governor Kathy Hochul and Los Angeles Mayor Karen Bass, cementing her platform’s status as a must-see for any Democrat with lofty political ambitions.
A slew of other Democratic lawmakers have appeared on “I’ve Got It,” including notable figures like House Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries, D-N.Y., and Reps. Jasmine Crockett, D-Texas, Ro Khanna, D-Calif., Eric Swalwell, D-Calif., and Sarah McBride, D-Del., as well as Sens. Elizabeth Warren, D-Mass., Cory Booker, D-N.J., Adam Schiff, D-Calif., and Chris Murphy, D-Conn.
“Jennifer Welch will almost certainly be positioned as a major influencer in the 2028 Democratic Party,” NewsBusters Managing Editor Curtis Houck said. Fox News Digital. “If you’re anyone on the left, and you want to be someone — even if you’re not running for president — Welch is someone you’ll not only have to show up with, but support, along with ABC’s Jimmy Kimmel.”
“With CBS’ Stephen Colbert losing his show in May, the influence of Kimmel and Welch will grow,” Hook continued. “It’s become abundantly clear that she has a deep hatred in her heart for anyone who thinks differently, and it’s really sad. She divides people from each other by convincing her audience that their MAGA-supporting family members, neighbors, and co-workers are psychopaths, murderers, and racists.”
In fact, it’s her rhetoric about conservatives that most often makes headlines.
Welch claimed that Charlie Kirk “justified” his assassination with strong support for the Second Amendment, accused his widow, Erika Kirk, of being an “opportunistic fraud,” referred to white Americans as “cruel white people,” and said Trump supporters should not be allowed to eat at Mexican restaurants. indicated Senior White House adviser Stephen Miller called him a “Jewish Nazi” and described Trump as a “tiny little mushroom—piece of—“, among many other profane insults.
Welch even suggested that Democrats would prosecute Trump and his allies once they regain power, and believes the 2024 attempt on Trump’s life was “completely staged.”
He also invited Welch White evangelical Christians are the worst people in the country, a cancer and a cult, and also the “most racist,” Most declines—of humans imaginable“.
In another viral clip, conservative feminist sports activist Riley Gaines was called “insufferable s—” and “stupid.”

The speech attracted attention and media attention.
In 2025, “You’ve Got It” has more than 660 million views across platforms, a 253% increase from 2024. Over the past 90 days, “You’ve Got It” has had 146 million views and 12.5 million interactions across platforms, a media official familiar with its numbers told Fox News Digital.
A CNN article called the show “vile and to the point,” The New Yorker called Welch one of the left’s most “provocative” voices, and The New York Times interviewed her in December.
The Washington Post published a Glowing profile From Welch and Sullivan on Monday who noted that their podcast “has evolved into a powerhouse, building the kind of organic audience that political strategists could never manufacture.”
“The women’s experience as liberals in a red state gave them thick skins, as well as plenty of ammunition for their profanity-laced criticisms of the president.” Donald Trump And his base,” journalist Rachel Monroe wrote in the Washington Post.
The Washington Post reported that Welch had been “more publicly critical of the Democratic Party” in recent months, adding that she was “resisting the influence of corporate money and candidates who refuse to condemn the war in Gaza or who do not advocate for transgender children.”
“Welch and Sullivan dismiss concerns that their hostility toward some Democrats will play into Trump’s hands, saying the unscripted moments, even the most dramatic ones, are just what their side needs,” Monroe wrote in the Washington Post.
Welch has directed her criticisms at Democrats directly in her interviews. She attacked Rahm Emanuel last year when he expressed concern about their party’s focus on transgender rights.
“This is the bulls—. This is the bulls—. This supports the right-wing media narrative. And I’m so tired of Democrats like you selling themselves out and saying this,” Welch told Emanuel.
In another interview, Welch accused Cory Booker of “giving in” to what the Trump administration calls “fascism,” and likened the Democratic leadership to “Neville Chamberlain.” She also criticized him for previously accepting money from the American Israel Public Affairs Committee (AIPAC).
Heritage Foundation media fellow Tim Young believes her “rhetoric matches the far-left tabby cat ladies who scream at minimum-wage employees” at yoga classes and malls.
“It would make sense for her to be elevated to a position like a kingmaker within the Democratic Party because she was one of the craziest, most communist leftists out there,” Young told Fox News Digital.

While Welch has certainly gained influence, Young does not feel she represents the left’s answer to heavyweight Joe Rogan, something many Democrats desire.
“There will never be a left-wing Joe Rogan — and frankly, Joe Rogan is not a right-winger — he’s a man of common sense who has been labeled a right-winger because he’s right-wing the 1% of crazy leftists in this country, like Jennifer Welch. Ultimately, she’s just an overrated critic, and when the Democratic Party fails, she will be blamed for said failure and cast aside,” Young said.
