The Department of Homeland Security confirmed to Fox News Digital that Parra Corral was in the United States illegally and had been deported.

Tricia McLaughlin, Assistant Secretary of Homeland Security, described Barra Corral as “A An illegal criminal alien From Mexico” and detailed the timeline of events.

“On November 9, local police arrested Eduardo Parra Corral, a criminal illegal alien from Mexico, after he was allegedly driving under the influence at over 100 mph when he ran a red light,” the Department of Homeland Security shared in a statement with Fox News Digital.

“He beat and killed a 27-year-old woman. He was taken into custody by ICE on November 10. He was deported “On November 25, he no longer poses a threat to the Americans,” McLaughlin said.

She added: “Under President Trump and Secretary Noem, if you come to our country and break our laws, we will find you, arrest you, and expel you. Criminals are not welcome in the United States.”

Para Coral passenger, 20-year-old Omar Perea Burciaga, was also taken into custody for allegedly providing false identifying information and on a previous hit-and-run warrant.

The Weld County Coroner’s Office identified the victim as 27-year-old Yasmin Faith Carpio of Windsor, according to KUNA.

A spokesperson for the Greeley Police Department told Fox News Digital: “The incident resulted in the tragic loss of a member of our community, Yasmin Carpio. While we will not be making any statements regarding Mr. Parra Corral’s immigration status, we remain fully committed to a thorough and impartial investigation.”

Jasmine Faith Carpio, 27, was killed when her car collided with an illegal immigrant who was driving at more than 100 mph, according to police. Her loved ones remembered her as warm, caring and devoted to her family.

The case has also drawn backlash from Republicans in the state.

Rep. Lauren Boebert called Parra Corral “another criminal alien welcomed into our state,” and blamed Democratic politics for the woman’s death.

“Colorado’s sanctuary policies welcomed this criminal alien to our state. Democrats are responsible for the death of a 27-year-old woman by allowing her killer to illegally enter our country,” Boebert wrote on X.

The Colorado Republican Party weighed in as well, warning: “How many innocent lives must be lost? Will your family be affected then?”

Greeley police said the investigation is still ongoing, and all suspects are innocent until proven guilty.
