Friedrich Mirz has met President Donald Trump three times since he became a consultant in early May

German Chancellor Friedrich Mirz accepted the US accusations that Europe has only done very little to finance its defense and security, but now he believes they are on the same page.

“We know that we must do more on our own and we were refining free in the past. They ask us to do more and we do more,” he told BBC today.

Mirz was in the UK to enhance defense relations with Germany, as part of the historic friendship treaty that also aims to address irregular immigration and enhance youth exchange.

Russia’s war with Ukraine frame the first weeks of its advisor, as well as the threat of US President Donald Trump to impose an import tariff of 30 % on European Union exports as of August 1.

Mirz Nick Robinson told the UK’s first radio interview as a consultant that he now met Trump three times and was in good speaking conditions: “I think President Trump is on the same page; we are trying to put this war to some extent.”

“We are on the phone once a week; we are coordinating our efforts. One of the issues is the war in Ukraine, and the second is our commercial discussions and definitions.”

Mirz was an audio supporter of Ukraine at the Campaign’s path, and Kyiv visited months before Christian Democrats took in central Germany to win the elections in February.

Four days after the constitutional oath in early May, he was on a train to Kiev in a display of solidarity with Prime Minister Sir Kerr Starmer and President Emmanuel Macron from France.

“We see a great threat, and the threat is Russia. This threat is not only on Ukraine. It is our peace, on our freedom, based on the political system of Europe,” warned.

In the period before the German elections, US Vice Vice President JD VANCE was shocked by the Munich Security Conference with a list of accusations against European allies, including the United Kingdom.

Thinking about the notes, Mirz said the government “had to remove our consequences from that.” In other words, the message was from a “very open method” for ancestral, in other words, noisy and clear.

Canan Atilgan of the Konrad Adenauer Foundation in London, which is closely affiliated with the Mirz party, believes that he had a profound impact on the upcoming advisor: “I think in Munich he thinks that we lost the Americans – we have to take care of ourselves – and then Zelinski in the Oval Office It happened “.

Even before the oath included the constitutional oath, the advisor went by a change in the German constitution to enable a significant increase in defense spending, saying that the rule now for the German defense is to do everything that requires it.

“We are not strong enough, our army is not strong enough, and this is why we spend a lot of money,” he said in his BBC interviewing.

The United Kingdom, Germany and France are working together on a tripartite alliance of the major European powers, called E3, which Mirz says will focus not only on security and foreign policy but also on economic growth.

The counselor said that now “is very close to Care Starmer” and with the French president as well. Macron is scheduled to visit Berlin next week.

The French leader signed a large -scale treaty with Germany in Aach in 2019, and last week he agreed to a deeper defensive agreement during a government visit to the United Kingdom, and therefore the US -German friendship treaty completes the triangle of bilateral relations.

Friedrich Mirz was sitting in the vicinity of the luxury of the German embassy, on the verge of going to the Victoria and Albert Museum to sign the agreement with the Prime Minister.

Mirz said that the bilateral treaty renewed the allies’ commitment to defending each other – it is not just part of the NATO treaty but was also part of their alliance when the UK was in the European Union.

British and German companies are already cooperating in making products such as Typhoon Eurofighter Jets and boxer armored vehicles, and the two governments have agreed to launch joint export campaigns that Downing Street believes that it can attract billions of pounds.

They are also developing a missile with a group of 2000 km (1250 miles) and later informed a press conference that Ukraine will soon receive great additional support in “long -term fire”.

Mirz, 69, is a strong and via Atlantic alliance and knows the United States well from his foreign investment company.

However, on the night of his victory in the elections, he announced that the Trump administration was “largely indifferent to the fate of Europe”, a note that was seen at the time as a waiting adviser.

When asked if he had changed his opinion since then, he said he did not do so, because Trump was not clear and committed like the former American presidents, and it was the previous American administrations.

The Americans were moving away from Europe and heading to Asia, and noticed that this is why it was important to look at greater independence from the American defense.

The United Kingdom has survived greatly from the unrest surrounding the US tariffs on its exports, but the European Union faces a period of less than two weeks, and threatens the tariffs by 30 % on all its commodities.

The European Union’s commercial negotiator has traveled to Washington this week in search of a deal that would save all 27 member states of an increase in American import taxes.

Mirz believes that high definitions are unacceptable and kill the export industry in Germany.

“My note is that the president himself sees the challenges and that he is ready to reach an agreement. He gets it.”

Another important element in the UK Treaty is the Berlin Agreement to Change the Law to criminalize smugglers who store small boats in Germany for use in illegal channels. The storage of boats in Germany was revealed by BBC investigation last year.

The counselor said that his government “will do our duty immediately” and expected that it would not take a long time to pay through Parliament after the summer vacation.

There are also plans to connect the direct railway from London to Berlin, and British and German students to participate in the stock exchanges, which have decreased since Britain’s exit from the European Union.

Mirz said he was very hoping that the first people who might see a practical difference from the friendship treaty will be students, so that the younger generation can push the relations between the allies in the future.
