World leaders say “committed to save lives in Gaza.

Gaza has become worse than hell on the ground, as the head of the International Committee of the Red Cross told the BBC.

In an interview at the headquarters of the headquarters of the International Committee in Geneva, the head of the organization, Mirgana Spulgrock, said, “Humanity fails” because it saw the horrors of the Gaza war.

During his talk in a room close to the issue of the three Nobel Pace awards in ICRC, Mrs. Spoljaric asked about the notes she made in April that Gaza was “Hello on Earth”, and if anything happened since her opinion changed.

“It has become worse … We cannot continue to watch what is happening. It goes beyond any acceptable, legal, moral and humanitarian standard. The level of destruction, and the level of suffering.

“More importantly, the fact that we are seeing a people who have been fully stripped of their human dignity. We must really shock our collective conscience.”

She added that countries must do more to end the war, end the suffering of the Palestinians and release the Israeli hostages.

Words, which are carefully chosen, for the ICRC president carrying moral weight.

The International Red Cross is a global humanitarian organization that reduces the suffering in wars for more than a century and a half.

He is also the guard of the Geneva Conventions, a group of international humanitarian law that aims to regulate war behavior and protect civilians and other dead. The latest version, the Fourth Geneva Conference of 1949, was adopted after the Second World War and was aimed at preventing the occurrence of mass killing of civilians again.

Israel, I mentioned it, justifies its actions in Gaza as self -defense.

“Every state has the right to defend itself,” she said.

“Every mother has the right to see her children return. There is no excuse for betting. There is no excuse to deny children from their access to food, health and security. There are rules in the behavior of hostilities that each party respects in every conflict.”

Does this mean that the actions of Hamas and other armed Palestinians on October 7, 2023 – which resulted in 1,200 and took more than 250 hostages – did not justify the destruction of Israel for Gaza and the killing of more than 50,000 Palestinians?

“It is not justified for the lack of respect or disposal of the Geneva Conventions. None of the parties is allowed to violate the rules, regardless of what, and this is important because it is seen that the same rules apply to every human being under the Geneva Conference.

You never know, Mrs. Spoljaric added, when your child is on the weakest side and will need this protection.

ICRC is a reliable source of information about what is happening in Gaza. Israel does not allow international news organizations, including BBC, to send journalists to the region. The reporting of more than 300 international committee employees in Gaza, 90 % of them Palestinians, constituted a vital part of the war record.

Mrs. Spoljaric, President of the International Committee, speaks every day to her team leader in Gaza. The ICRC Surgical Hospital in RAFAH is the closest medical facility to the area where many Palestinians were killed while distributing chaotic aid by the United States -backed Israel Foundation (GHF).

Like the United Nations, the ICRC does not participate in the new process. There is a basic drawback for the new regime that it entertains tens of thousands of civilians who are starving through an active war zone.

“There was no justification for changing something working, with something that it does not seem to be working.”

In the past few days, ICRC surgical teams were flooded in their field hospital in Rafah near the GHF area at least twice through the size of the losses in the food process disorders.

“There is no safe place in Gaza. Not anywhere. Not for civilians, not for the hostages,” said Ms. Spulgrock. “This is a fact. Our hospital is not safe. I do not remember another situation in which I saw where we work in the midst of hostilities.”

A few days ago, a young boy was hit by a bullet coming through the tent tissue while treating it.

“We have no security even for our employees … they work 20 hours a day. They are exhausted for themselves. But it’s too much, it goes beyond human capabilities.”

The ICRC said that within a few hours on Tuesday morning, its surgical teams received 184 patients, including 19 people, when they arrived and eight others, who died shortly affected by their wounds. This has been the largest number of victims from one incident in the field hospital since its foundation slightly over a year ago.

This happened about dawn on Tuesday. The Palestinian witnesses and physicians in the international army of the terrible scenes reported the killing, as the Israeli forces opened fire on the Palestinians who were meeting at the new aid distribution site in southern Gaza. It was a “complete massacre” according to a foreign witness.

An official statement from the Israeli army described a completely different picture. “Many suspects move towards the Israeli forces,” it is deviated from the specified access methods, “said many suspects. The forces “carried out a warning fire … additional footage was directed near a few individual suspects who advanced towards the forces.”

A military spokesman said they were investigating what happened. She denied shooting the Palestinians in a similar incident on Sunday.

Ms. Spoljaric said the ICRC was very concerned about talking about victory at any cost, total war and ignorance.

“We see things that happen that will make the world an unpleasant place outside the region, and it exceeds the Israelis and Palestinians, because we outperform the same rules that protect the basic rights of every human being.”

If there is no ceasefire, it fears the future of the region.

“This is vital. To keep the path of return to peace to the region. If you destroy this path forever, you will never find the area safety and security. But we can stop it now. It is not too late.”

“The state leaders are subject to a commitment to act. I invite them to do something and do more and do what they can. Because it will resonate, he will chase them, will reach their doors.”

The ICRC is the Geneva Convention Guard. The fourth, agreed upon after the Second World War, was designed to protect civilians in wars.

She said that Hamas attacks on Israel on October 7, 2023 were not justifying the current events.

“None of the two parties is allowed to violate the rules, regardless of this,” said Ms. Spulgrock.

Israel launched a military campaign in Gaza in response to the Hamas attack across the border, where about 1,200 people were killed and 251 others were taken into account.

At least 54,607 people have been killed in Gaza since then, including 4335 since Israel resumed its attack on March 18, according to the Ministry of Health in the region.

She said that the party’s appeal to stop hostilities: “We cannot continue to watch what is happening.

“He challenges humanity. He will chase us.”

She called on the international community to exert more effort. She said: “Every country is under the commitment to use its means, their peaceful means, to help in contrast to what is happening in Gaza today.”
