Tom Fletcher, the United Nations Human President, said that most of the United Nations food trucks were looted by the hungry Palestinians after entering Gaza on Sunday.

“In Gaza, after Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu insisted that there is no such thing,” said Donald Trump, after the real hunger.

When asked whether he agreed with Netanyahu as a “bold lie” to say that Israel was nourishing hunger in Gaza, the American president replied: “I do not know … these children seem very hungry … These are real famine things.”

Speaking during a meeting with UK Prime Minister Kiir Starmer in Scotland, Trump said: “No one has done anything wonderful there. The whole place is chaos … I told Israel, they may have to do so in a different way.”

His comments came after the United Nations humanitarian president said that “huge amounts” of food were necessary to avoid hunger.

Tom Fletcher told the BBC that he welcomed Israel’s measures during the weekend to allow more assistance in Gaza in the form of air drops, and the military stop to allow food leaders to reach people.

But he said that what was delivered so far was just a “drop in the ocean” of what was required.

“It is the beginning, but the next few days are in fact,” he told BBC Radio 4 today.

Israel said that 120 shipments were collected from the crossings on Sunday during the first “tactical stop” daily in military operations, and that Jordan and the United Arab Emirates have broadcast 28 packages of food.

Hours after talking about Mr. Fletcher, the Hamas -running Ministry of Health in the region said that 14 other people have died as a result of malnutrition over the past 24 hours.

This led to the total number of deaths related to malnutrition since the war began in October 2023 to 147, including 88 children, according to the ministry.

Israel, which controls the entry of all supplies to Gaza, denied that there is starvation in Gaza and refused to be responsible for food shortages.

On Sunday, the Israeli army began action that he said would improve the “humanitarian response” in Gaza and refute “the wrong claim of deliberate hunger.”

Israel has announced that there will be a “local tactical stop” in three areas of Gaza for 10 hours a day, as well as the creation of “safe roads dedicated” to relief convoys.

The army also allowed the aids carried out by foreign countries, although humanitarian agencies warn that this method was ineffective and dangerous.

The Israeli military body, which improves the entry of aid to Gaza, said that more than 120 charges of aid were collected from the crossings by the United Nations and other international organizations on Sunday, and that hundreds of other loads were waiting for their collection.

Mr. Fletcher said that the United Nations collected less than 100 trucks at that time, and indicated that 600 to 700 cargo entered Gaza daily on average during the ceasefire between Israel and Hamas at the beginning of this year.

He asked him to respond to Israel’s criticism of United Nations agencies for not collecting aid from the crossings, he said: “We will not leave on the platforms if we can. But to reach our drivers face bureaucratic restrictions, they face tremendous security restrictions.”

He also said that most of the United Nations food trucks were looted after entering Gaza on Sunday.

“Most of these trucks … were wounded by desperate civilians, starving. The flour was removed from these trucks, which is very dangerous for our drivers.”

Mr. Fletcher also warned that the United Nations teams on the ground believed that the stopping of the Israeli army would only last a week or so, which he said was “clearly insufficient when we see before we see this brutality in the twenty -first century on the ground.”

“We need a sustainable period of delivery – weeks, months – to accumulate, to stop this hunger and build supplies again. In the end, we need a ceasefire. Stopping is a good step in the right direction, but stopping the conflict is the key.”

On Sunday, the World Health Organization warned that malnutrition “is in a dangerous path in the Gaza Strip, characterized by an increase in deaths in July.”

The United Nations Agency said that among the 74 deaths related to malnutrition in Gaza in 2025, 63 happened this month, including 24 children under the age of five and a child who is more than five years old.

“Most of these people were announced their death upon their arrival at health facilities or died shortly after a while, their bodies showed clear signs of severe waste,” he added.

Those who said that the crisis “can be fully prevented” and condemned what was called “the deliberate ban and the delay of food, health and humanitarian aid on a large scale.”

Hamas denied the theft of aid, and on Sunday, the New York Times cited major Israeli military officials as saying that the army had never found evidence that the armed group systematically stole the United Nations. Reuters also reported last week that the American government’s analysis had not found any evidence of the systematic theft by Hamas from the aid funded by the United States.

On Sunday, Netanyahu rescued allegations that Israel was hungering deliberately in Gaza, which would win the crime of war.

“What a bold lie. There is no hunger policy in Gaza, and there is no hunger in Gaza.” He said.

“We have been enabled humanitarian aid throughout the war to enter Gaza. Otherwise, there will be no Ghazan. What has been exchanged to supply human aid is one power, Hamas. Once again, the opposite of the truth.”

Netanyahu said that the Israeli army stops and corridors mean that the United Nations “had no excuses” to not collect and distribute all aid from the crossings.

“Stop lying. Stop finding excuses. Do what you have to do.”

On Monday, local hospital sources said that Israeli attacks throughout Gaza have killed more than 30 people, including relief seekers.

The Israeli army launched a campaign in Gaza in response to the Hamas -led attack on southern Israel on October 7, 2023, where about 1,200 people were killed and 251 others took hostage.

At least 59,821 people have been killed in Gaza since then, according to the Hamas Ministry of Health in the region.
