Epstein files name Hollywood stars, trigger industry business shakeups

The latest release of documents linked to the Jeffrey Epstein investigation has sent new shockwaves through Hollywood, sweeping up prominent names in music, movies and royalty.

The Department of Justice (DOJ) released more than three million records of Epstein, including his personal emails, on January 30. Including files does not necessarily mean wrongdoing.

Tommy Mottola

Former CEO of Sony Music Entertainment Tommy Mottola’s friendship with Jeffrey Epstein came to light in the latest drop of Justice Department documents.

“Did Tommy Mottola come in early today? Just wondering,” Epstein’s assistant wrote in an email to him in 2012. A year later, I emailed, “Please call Tommy Mottola.”

The two were close enough for Mottola to send Epstein a “huge box of Bridgewater chocolates” in December 2011. In 2017, Mottola sent Epstein a “gift basket,” according to the emails.

Mottola’s relationship with Epstein, although he was not accused of any wrongdoing, affected his business. Mottola’s upcoming pasta sauce collaboration with Jimmy Fallon has since been put on pause, sources said Page Six Hollywood. “No one wants to be within 50 feet of anyone in the Epstein files,” one person familiar with the project told the outlet.

Casey Wasserman has chosen to sell his eponymous talent agency after his connections with Ghislaine Maxwell were revealed in the latest dropped document.

Wasserman, whose agency represents some of the world’s top pop artists, has not been accused of any wrongdoing. Recently unsealed documents revealed that in 2003 he exchanged flirtatious emails with Maxwell, who years later was accused of helping Epstein recruit and sexually assault his victims.

Wasserman has lost clients because of Maxwell’s emails. They include pop star Chapelle Rowan and retired American women’s soccer legend Abby Wambach.

Barry Diller

Barry Diller, IAC’s senior executive and chairman, was mentioned in an email that was included in the final version of documents related to the Epstein investigation. Diller has not been accused of any wrongdoing.

“Barry Diller would like to have a picnic on the island. Please organize (Jeffrey said he would talk to you about this),” Maxwell wrote in a 2003 email to a redacted person.

“I’m probably the only person who went to the island to see the architecture rather than the residents,” Diller recently told Page Six Hollywood.

Brett Ratner

“Melania” director Brett Ratner spoke out after a photo of him appeared in a document repository on January 30. The photo showed Ratner hugging a woman, whose identity has been withheld. Next to her were Epstein and a second woman who was also omitted from the photo.

Ratner explained who the mystery woman is during an interview with Fox News Digital.

“About 20 years ago, I had a girlfriend. I was in love with her. We were engaged. She was my fiancée. We went to an event, and we were sitting on the couch, and the picture was taken at that event,” Ratner explained. Image circulated online.

He continued: “I did not have a personal relationship with him. “I didn’t know him.” Jeffrey Epstein.

Marilyn Monroe

Marilyn Monroe He was mentioned in a batch of documents released by the Department of Justice in connection with the investigation into Epstein.

“Please let Rich Barnett know how much you want the portrait of Marilyn Monroe to hang above the statue here in the Oval Office, and he can take care of it for you,” Epstein’s executive assistant wrote to him in a 2013 email.

Another email shows an additional item linked to Marilyn Monroe that was purchased from Amazon in 2015.

Jay-Z, Beyoncé, Bill Cosby, Kurt Cobain, Prince Harry

Attorney General Pam Bondi He announced in a letter sent to Congress on February 14 that “all” of the Epstein files had been released in accordance with Section 3 of the Epstein Files Transparency Act.

The letter listed more than 300 notable names, including Jay-Z, Beyoncé, Bill Cosby, Kurt Cobain and Prince Harry.

The list of names includes “all persons (1) who are or have been government officials or politically exposed persons and (2) whose names appear in files issued under the law at least once,” the letter said, adding that the names appear in “a wide range of contexts.”

Some of the names mentioned in the letter had “extensive direct email contact with Epstein or Maxwell” while others were mentioned “in part of a document (including press reports) that on its face is unrelated to the Epstein and Maxwell cases,” the letter said.

Mick Jagger

Mick Jagger He was spotted in photos previously released by the Ministry of Justice. Including Jagger in the photos does not implicate him in any violations.

One photo shows the Rolling Stones singer sitting between Jeffrey Epstein and Bill Clinton. Another photo showed Jagger posing with Clinton and a woman whose identity was withheld.

Michael Jackson, Diana Ross
