Brantley Gilbert avoids social media, prefers staying home on Georgia farm

Country star Brantley Gilbert has built a life for himself on his South Georgia farm and is doing everything he can not to let go.

During an interview with Fox News Digital, Gilbert — who recently became an investor and equity partner in Real American Beer to create a non-alcoholic beer called Rap Zero He explained that living remotely on a farm allows him to disconnect from the online world. He also explained that checking social media requires “a lot” of his kids.

The country star revealed that his three children are homeschooled and learning “what kids need to know and not what some people in this world feel like they want to know.”

“I kind of — when I get off the road, shows like these, and being out here on the road is ‘wild and crazy’ now,” Gilbert began, noting that he has been sober for 14 years.

He continued: “I come home, and I don’t really leave the farm. I’m not — and maybe this isn’t a great thing to say about what I do for a living, but man, I don’t live on social media. In fact, I barely look at it.” “Just as a husband and father of three kids, you know, between that and the music business, I don’t have enough time and enough effort to do something that can take a lot out of them.”

Brantley shared that now that his tour is over, he just leaves his farm Go to church Or go to ball games.

Gilbert explained that his father and brother work on his farm while his wife, Amber, runs a farm Hybrid homeschool group. The couple’s children, Barrett and Braelyn, are enrolled in the school and attend only three days a week.

Amber shared some information about the academy On Instagram in 2023, explaining that she never thought about homeschooling her children until 2020.

They wanted structure, socialization, and Christian education for their children, while also having concerns about exposure to public schools and strict attendance policies that did not accommodate excursions. After learning about hybrid homeschooling from friends at Turning Point USA, she visited Learn Upstate Hybrid Academy in Anderson, South Carolina, and found it to be a refreshing solution that she highly recommends.

“I actually started a school three years ago. It’s like a home school — teaching kids what kids need to know and not a lot of what, you know, some people in this world feel like they want to know. It’s a really important thing, so I try to help where I can,” Gilbert said. “I think she’s doing something very important there.”

“So, they call Mondays and Fridays ‘work days,’ and those are their two favorite days of the week,” Gilbert said of his two older children. “You know, my brother and dad come and pick them up, and they wake up, and they’re out at a million miles an hour, and they actually make them work. And they play, but they have to work first.”
