Political strategist Marco Freire responded, “I don’t understand why AOC is trying to rewrite this. It makes her look bad.”

“Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (@AOC) is not just ignorant. She is dangerous because she has the support of a larger group of ignorant people,” wrote David Harris, an author specializing in anti-Semitism.

Gov. Gretchen Whitmer, a Michigan Democrat and term-limited governor of a key Great Lakes state, has also been criticized.

Asked what victory would look like for Ukraine, Whitmer said Ocasio-Cortez and US Ambassador to NATO Matthew Whitaker, who sat with her on the committee, were “more immersed in foreign policy than any governor.”

Whitmer added: “I believe that Ukraine’s independence, maintaining its land mass, and obtaining the support of all allies is the goal.”

Ocasio-Cortez was also asked: “Should the United States send American troops to defend Taiwan then?” China Did we have to move?

The four-term lawmaker appeared to pause for nearly 20 seconds before suggesting the United States should try to avoid reaching a conflict with China over Taiwan.

“This is, of course, a long-term policy of the United States, and I think what we’re hoping for is that we want to make sure that we never get to that point, and we want to make sure that we move through all of our economic research and our global positions to avoid any such confrontation and even that question arises,” Ocasio-Cortez said.

“AOC declares that we cannot arrest the leaders of countries like Venezuela because they are below the equator. Venezuela is not below the equator,” Johnson wrote.

“AOC has once again made a fool of itself on stage by saying we can’t arrest leaders like Maduro in Venezuela ‘just because the nation is south of the equator, and there is no Venezuela south of the equator,’” freelance journalist Nick Sortor wrote, adding, “Please run in 2028, AOC.”

“Marx himself said the first critique was the critique of religion, and his political followers followed suit,” Baron said. “The first thing Marxist authoritarian regimes went after, in most cases, was religion. I’m a little concerned that some of these prominent figures in our politics are taking hold of a Marxist philosophy.”

“As a religious leader, this worries me a little bit,” he concluded. “Take a look, everyone, pay attention to the language, the way they tell us who they are and what they are aiming for, and I think this should be very worrying for everyone.”
