the New photos and footage Obtained from Nancy Guthrie’s front door camera Five key points of interest to investigators looking to track down the masked person who investigators believe may be connected to Guthrie’s disappearance.
Ski mask
A distinctive ski mask worn by an individual could hold multiple clues about an individual’s identity if law enforcement can determine where and when the item was purchased.

“They will try to determine who actually produced this mask and where this mask can be purchased,” Ted Williams, a criminal and civil trial attorney, told Fox News Digital. “The temperature in Tucson is definitely going to be something you wouldn’t expect someone to be wearing that type of mask.”
In addition, an individual’s eye shape and facial structure under the mask may also be a focus for investigators, according to former FBI Special Agent Nicole Parker.

“You can’t change the shape of someone’s eyes,” Parker told Fox News Digital. Obviously the eyebrows and the appearance of facial hair around the mouth. You can always change someone’s eyebrows. You can change your facial hair. You can shave, things like that. But there are other factors, such as the shape of someone’s mouth.

“Eyes and mouth are very useful in recognizing a human, so they will pass on that.”
Clothes
Williams also pointed out the clothing the person was wearing in the footage, suggesting that the pants and jacket seen in the video open another window of opportunity for investigators to determine where the items were purchased.
“When you look at the shirt he was wearing and even the pants, they will try to figure out who might have actually sold those type of pants and shirts, and where they could have been purchased,” Williams said.
shoes
Williams and Parker suggest that light-colored shoes worn by a person provide law enforcement with almost undeniable information about the size, stature, and build of the person captured in the footage.

“They’ll look at the individual’s build and stature — his height, his build, his shoe size, how wide his shoulders are, basically his build,” Parker told Fox News Digital. “They will try to ascertain how tall this person is based on where they line up in the video surveillance versus a known, measurable object.”
According to Williams, investigators can compare the shoes a person is wearing to the tile floor on Nancy Guthrie’s porch to arrive at the individual’s foot measurement.
“They will be able to measure the tile sidewalk he was walking on to determine the shoe size [he is]“Williams said.
Gun and holster
Williams also pointed out the gun and holster the individual was wearing, adding that law enforcement would likely look into where both items were purchased to further build a profile on the subject.

“There’s no question that the holster that contained the gun that he had on his belt was not designed to hold that gun,” Williams told Fox News Digital. “They will try to look for these types of items and determine who made these types of purchases in order to identify the alleged kidnapper.”
Backpack
The last major clue pointed out by experts is the backpack a person is wearing The first video has been released by the FBI, with Parker specifically noting the reflectors on the bag’s shoulder straps.
“I want to know about those reflectors,” Parker said. “Is it camping equipment? Why does it have those reflectors? What brand is it? Where did they buy it?”

Parker noted that Backpack type – and what is made public – can provide clues to investigators regarding an individual’s background, work and lifestyle.
“Let’s say it’s potential camping equipment,” Parker said. “I will be pulling all customer orders from the Tucson area for some camping companies that sell this type of equipment.”
The FBI has not identified any suspects or persons of interest in Nancy Guthrie’s disappearance, and no arrests have been made.
