In September, Kate said she had been in a relationship for “a little over a year” and described her boyfriend as “someone I’ve known for a really long time.”

Nield previously worked as a bodyguard and security professional for the Gosselin family during their reality show fame.

From 2013 to 2019, Nield worked as a security and safety consultant at Viacom, according to his LinkedIn profile.

Nield was married for 33 years to his ex-wife, Gina Nield, before them Divorce in 2023According to court documents obtained by Us Weekly.

According to the documents, the former couple tied the knot in September 1990 during a ceremony in Auckland, New Zealand.

Nield filed for divorce from Jenna in September 2023, saying, “There is no hope or reasonable expectation of reconciliation between the parties.” The two reached a settlement that month and their divorce was finalized in November 2023.

Nield and Jenna share sons Christopher and Michael, according to the outlet.

In May 2009, Kate criticized tabloid reports that she was having an affair with Nield. During an interview with People magazine, “The next story that comes out of animals chasing us is about our security guy and his family,” she said.

She added: “The allegations they are making about me are truly disgusting, unimaginable, unfathomable, and I am horrified.”

Kate told the outlet that Nield and his family are “people who absolutely love us and want to see us through the end.”

“Of course, they both travel with us sometimes, and we’ve spent holidays together, because in this case, your circle gets smaller and smaller, and it’s very normal that you become friends with your manager, your publicist, your security team,” she said. “They’re the only people you have left. And now they’re under fire.”

After Page Six reported in September that Kate was dating Nield, John and his son, Colin Gosselin, claimed that rumors they were dating in 2009 were true.

Both men took to social media to call out Kate after the report was published. A post shared by John on his website Instagram account, and upload screenshots of articles linking Kate to Nield. “Guess who really ruined the marriage,” he wrote along with the photos.

He added: “Maybe when I speak, people will listen now!!!”

Colin He shared his own observations about the rumors in a series of emotional Instagram posts.

“What really bothers me is that my mother had an affair with our bodyguard in 2009, and she shared hotel rooms with him for years when we went on family vacations, while I was in a connecting room!” books. “Now everyone thinks her being with him is some kind of sweet romance.”

“Everyone says my father and I are attached to my mother. But we’re not. We suffered narcissistic damage and cried together.”

He concluded his post with a broken heart emoji and a message to John, “We won’t act restorative when we still feel pain from our past. Love you dad.”

Colin said earlier He and Kate became estranged after she sent him to a behavioral health facility in 2016. After his release, Colleen moved in with John, who was granted full custody in 2018. The former couple’s daughter, Hannah, also moved in with John that year.

At the time, a source told the New York Post that Kate was living with Nield.

The source added: “They have wedding plans, it’s very serious.”
