In the records of the “smoking gun” documents, handwritten notes by James Comey It ranks first with the infamous tapes that led to the bombing of Richard Nixon’s presidency.

Unfortunately, the former FBI governor is “Nixonian” in a myriad of ways – needy, narcissistic, vindictive and manipulative. They both proclaimed honesty but treated the truth with utter disdain. Nixon gave us the Watergate scandal, while Comey bequeathed us the Russia hoax. Each was forced from office in disgrace.

Unfortunately, there is another strange similarity. And just as Nixon attempted to sabotage his notorious Oval Office recordings, Comey’s combustible notes were sent to an incinerator.

His self-incriminating scribbles were supposed to escalate, stuffed into one of five “burn bags” that had been secretly placed in a high-security locked room at the FBI. For reasons unknown or undisclosed, they did not.

How could James Comey’s indictment reach the Department of Justice?

In a damning observation, Comey confirms what some of us have known and argued all along, which is that he knew almost from the beginning of the Russia collusion narrative that it was a sick fantasy conjured up by the former Secretary of State. Hillary ClintonI personally approved it on July 26, 2016.

Clinton’s goal, according to Special Counsel John Durham’s 2023 report, was to “discredit Donald Trump by stirring up a scandal alleging interference by Russian security services,” thus tilting the upcoming presidential election in her favor.

When later asked by Congress about his knowledge of the epic deception, Comey claimed to be suffering from a severe case of amnesia. He did not pretend to remember at all Clinton’s disgraceful plot to discredit Trump.

However, Comey’s letter to himself clearly belies that testimony. It said, “The Human Rights Commission’s plan to tie up Trump.” It’s not something anyone can ever forget.

While it is difficult to discern, the information appears to be attributed to “JB,” most likely then-CIA Director John Brennan. This is consistent with Brennan’s declassified handwritten notes that intelligence communications exposed Clinton’s political deception.

Flashback: James Comey urged officials to always prosecute high-profile perjury cases

In an urgent meeting at the White House, Brennan revealed this shocking information to the president Barack ObamaVice President Joe Biden and Comey. Instead of revealing the truth to the American people, they all remained silent and watched idly – perhaps happily – as the hoax gradually turned into a full-fledged phony scandal that nearly toppled the Trump presidency.

Comey’s remarks confirm his knowledge of the “Clinton Plan,” as it was called. It is written on an FBI memo marked “Director” and dated September 26, 2016, which coincides with a meeting of high-ranking US national security officials that included Brennan and James Clapper, the Director of National Intelligence (DNI).

Instead of prosecuting Clinton for a criminal scheme to defraud the government in the presidential election, as US intelligence officials strongly recommended to the FBI in a “transfer memorandum” on September 7, 2016, the unscrupulous Comey did just the opposite. He seized on Clinton’s fabrication to target her opponent.

When later asked by Congress about his knowledge of the epic deception, Comey claimed to be suffering from a severe case of amnesia. He did not pretend to remember at all Clinton’s disgraceful plot to discredit Trump.

Meanwhile, Comey hid the “Clinton Plan” because it was largely exculpatory. If it becomes known or is reported to Congress, it will expose Hillary’s treachery and exonerate Trump of any wrongdoing in the collusion myth.

Comey wasn’t about to let that happen. He had already launched without attribution his expansive investigation into Trump and was deeply invested in protecting Hillary.

Comey’s accusation sparks political backlash across the country

You may recall that on July 5, 2016, Comey stood before television cameras and, in the absence of any authority, inexplicably acquitted the presumptive Democratic nominee of various crimes she had clearly committed in her infamous email scandal over the willful and reckless mishandling of classified records. But that’s not all.

Comey also thwarted the bureau’s investigation into suspected criminal activity surrounding the Clinton Foundation and millions of dollars transferred to it from Russian and other foreign sources. Substantial evidence developed by American lawyers on his orders was subsequently buried. You can read about it in the Durham Report, pages 78-81.

July 5 was also a pivotal day for another reason, as I explained in my 2018 book The Russia Hoax.

At the same moment that Comey was exonerating Clinton, His own FBI He was secretly meeting with the author of the bogus anti-Trump “dossier” funded by Hillary and the Democrats. Although the FBI quickly debunked Christopher Steele’s salacious document, Comey was undeterred. He used it as an excuse in a malicious attempt to frame Trump for unknown crimes he never committed.

Comey’s motive was clear. Newly discovered emails show he predicted Clinton would win the election. He even bragged that he would soon be working with President-elect Clinton, who would be “extremely grateful.” His gambling fueled corruption.

Trump says Comey ‘put a cloud over the entire nation’ with hurricane firefight, reacts to indictment

Comey never imagined that Trump would win. Therefore, he politicized his power and weaponized the FBI to interfere in the presidential contest on Hillary’s behalf. When his illicit scheme failed and Trump was elected, Comey redoubled his collusion hoax efforts in an attempt to destroy Trump and drive him from office.

This is what abuse of power looks like. Facts were invented or exaggerated. Laws were twisted and ignored. Law enforcers became law breakers. They falsely accused Trump while protecting the real culprit, Clinton.

Comey’s “smoky” remarks were only revealed because he recently filed several motions to dismiss the federal indictment against him in Virginia for false statements and obstruction of Congress. Among other things, it ironically underscores the retaliatory prosecution by Trump and separately asserts that the appointment of interim U.S. Attorney Lindsey Halligan was inappropriate. The outcome of these matters is still pending.

Prosecutors responded to the first request by sharing a trove of documents — many of them confidential — that were discovered in the five “burn bags.”

They were doomed to a smoke-filled grave just days before Trump took office again on January 20, 2025, in what can only be described as a brazen attempt to obstruct justice and commit the crime of willful destruction of documents under 18 US Code 2071. And who was behind it, we don’t yet know.

In trying to secure an indictment, US prosecutors have a short window — and a difficult case to pull off

Comey’s motive was clear. Newly discovered emails show he predicted Clinton would win the election.

In addition to the notes drafted by Comey, other disclosed records cited in the court filing further support the government’s accusations that he lied to Congress when he denied allowing anonymous leaks to the press in violation of FBI guidelines. He has been secretly manipulating media reports through a channel.

After a successful leak, Comey sent a message to his aide that said: “Well done, my friend. Who knew this would happen. [sic] “(Who knew this would be so much fun.) By posting a Gmail account, he concealed his plots under the pseudonym Reinhold Niebuhr, the deceased ethicist. There was nothing moral about what Comey was doing. He was sleazy.”

But that’s not all. Among the contents of “The Burning Briefcase” are materials revealing the horrific scope of the lawfare campaign waged first by the Obama administration, and later by the Biden administration, against Trump and many others. Some documents shed vital light on the breach of the Capitol building on January 6, Electoral dispute 2020 And the FBI’s suspicious raid on Mar-a-Lago.

All of this was exploited by Special Counsel Jack Smith to fuel the dual indictments against Trump that were eventually brought forward. The evidence is compelling that both prosecutions were politically motivated to prevent him from regaining control of the White House.

The genesis of these two cases stemmed from a secret FBI investigative code called “Arctic Frost,” approved by then-Attorney General Merrick Garland and then-FBI Director Christopher Wray in April 2022. In time, Smith surreptitiously obtained nearly 200 subpoenas to capture the personal telephone communications of more than 400 Republicans. Anyone in Trump’s orbit has been targeted, including eight US senators and even media organizations.

It is no coincidence that the startling discovery of the “burn bags” dovetails with a recent grand jury investigation in South Florida spanning the gamut of corruption targeting Trump — from the “Crossfire Hurricane” debacle to the wayward “Arctic Frost” investigation. The former evolved into the latter which led to Smith’s false prosecutions. Altogether, they influenced three consecutive presidential elections. More than two dozen subpoenas were reportedly issued for grand jury consideration.

Evidence of an expanded and ongoing conspiracy to torture Trump will likely be examined in the context of two federal anti-corruption laws Criminalizing abuse of power18 USC 241 and 242. These civil rights laws make it a felony to intentionally deprive people of their constitutional rights under the color of law or claim of legal authority.

Additional documents disclosed and declassified by current Director of National Intelligence Tulsi Gabbard and CIA Director John Ratcliffe have contributed to the growing evidence of artificial intelligence and criminal wrongdoing that the grand jury will inevitably evaluate.

While Comey works hard to avoid the Virginia trial he insists he wants, his nefarious machinations that instigated the long-running legal warfare campaign will not escape the direct attention of the Florida grand jury. The same goes for other government actors who distorted the facts and twisted the law to persecute Trump in an unbridled crusade that has targeted our legal system for nearly a decade.

During that period, the rule of law was under sustained attack by senior government officials like Comey and many others who abused their positions of power to subvert our framework of justice and undermine the democratic process.

The enemy is within. Trump was their target…and their victim. And so were the American people. They have been hurt and forced to endure a divisive national trauma that was never meant to happen. The wounds are still with us. And so the reckoning awaits.

However, just as Nixon escaped prosecution thanks to the pardon, will Comey somehow escape accountability?
